This session provides training on management of finances and other resources as the foundation for nutrition integrity and quality meals in school nutrition programs. Lesson topics will include, the importance of financial management, the development of a financial management information system, communication and ethical behavior, reporting revenue and expenditures, setting a meal standard for financial managementand analysis, managing revenue and expenditures, controling food and labor costs, financial planning and budget development, developing and analyzing a budget, and tools to analyze financial status.
Handouts will be provided, however if you would like to take notes please bring something to write with. Lunch will be 30 minutes and not provided. The campus does have a place close to the training that you can purchase food.
